Every day, thousands of South Africans buy and sell event tickets through WhatsApp groups, Facebook Marketplace, Instagram DMs, and X. It's fast and convenient — but it's also risky. Buyers send money and never receive tickets. Sellers transfer tickets and never get paid.
Tikiberry was built to solve this. We sit between the buyer and the seller as a trusted escrow layer. When a buyer pays, the money is held securely — neither party can touch it until the transaction is complete. The seller transfers the ticket. The buyer confirms receipt. Only then do the funds get released.
We are not Ticketmaster. We are not Computicket. We don't organise events or sell primary tickets. We are a trust layer for peer-to-peer resales — built specifically for the informal ticket market that already exists.
